It's
just a quick three minute stroll from the DragonsFyre vacation
rental to the stunning Carmel Beach and downtown –
both just three short blocks away. Cycle paths abound as do hidden
pathways, foot bridges and cobblestone terraces for afternoon walks.
Listen to the roar of the ocean in the near distance.
The 17 Mile Drive entrance to Pebble
Beach Golf Course is less than a minute away — by
car or via the nearby footpath. From DragonsFyre, beach-goers
can walk to and be on the golf fairway in under seven minutes.
Designed
by Allan Turpin with the classic Carmel eyebrow-windows, DragonsFyre, the highest house on the quiet street, is nestled
amongst picturesque oaks. Lopez
Avenue, with no through traffic, is well suited for those
individuals that seek the quieter life, privacy or may have young
children. A paparazzi gate exits to a rear, side Jane Powers walkway.
DragonsFyre is owned by a glass and metal sculptor whose stainless steel dragonfly and butterfly sculptures, Carmel-style
bird houses, forged-copper and glass sculptures are installed throughout
the property. And all aligned by the harmonies of Feng
shui.
Wrought
iron railings frame a flagstone entry way. By the arched front door
rests a sunny reading area with stone and teak benches and fountain. Inside,
the home boasts a gourmet kitchen with a Viking range, Sub Zero refrigerator, built-in full-door spice rack, custom
cabinets, granite countertops, top-of-the-line appliances and a
sunny breakfast nook for six.
The great room with raised ceilings and a gas/wood burning masonry
fireplace, is wired for wireless broadband Internet access. The dining area,
adjacent to the great room, seats six. A half bathroom
is situated adjacent to the foyer.
There's oak and tile floors throughout with soft carpeting in the
bedrooms. In the master bathroom, there's a granite and travertine
en-suite Jacuzzi, glass-door shower, toilet room and walk-in closet with ironing board.
Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms (queen and twin) adjacent
to a bathroom with a glass-and-travertine shower.
Downstairs,
at the garage level, a laundry room features a washing machine and
companion dryer. There's access to a single-car garage with additional
parking in the driveway. Street parking is also available in front
of the house.
The
home is kid and pet friendly. A door restricts access downstairs to the
garage and washer/dryer area. Outside, please be aware that there
is a pond in the back garden. Wrought iron railings are the first
line of defense but infants must be watched at all times.
The fenced rear garden, with stunning oak trees, is suitable for
well behaved dogs. A fenced kennel, dogloo, water and
food bowls, and pooper scooper are also available. Carmel has
a dog friendly downtown and
beach, as well as stores and restaurants. A Chinese rear gate accesses
a footpath for trips to-and-from the beach which is just three short
walking blocks away.

of California - the most popular travel destination in
the United States.
