Free Mountain Bikes (4)
Enjoy the complimentary use of four mountain bikes during your stay at Costarino:

Bike around Scenic Road to Carmel River Beach, or explore 17 Mile Drive - free access on bike.

    

Surfing is just a barefoot walk down Jane Powers Walkway from Costarino. You're on the beach in under three minutes.
Free Surf Board
Hang in Carmel. Break moves up and down the beach based on the tide and sand. Except at low tide, there's typically good waves. No rip, so go for the ride. Tuck when you tumble - Carmel Beach's perfect white sand can give you a thump - though there are no rocks. Wet/dry suit required.

Costarino has a triple fin short board. Please bring your own wetsuit. Walk to beach in bare feet via secret surfer's path. Locals are very mellow.

Skimming will dump you as fast as you find the groove. Have fun. Locals share as the beach is massive.
Free Skim & Boogie Boards
Enjoy the complimentary use of two skim boards and two boogie boards. Best skimming can be at low tide but you'll get air all the other times. A full wet suit slows you down but shorties keep you warm. Run as fast as you can to enter the skim zone. Locals dip the tip of their boards into the sand to plane.

Please bring your own shorties. If you have a favorite board, bring it. The local surf shops have plenty of gear available.

Check tides for your stay.
    
Lightweight but quality beach gear. Best driven down to beach if you've got a lot of kids in tow. Or organize them to carry it down from Costarino.
