Costarino Vacation Rental Terms & Conditions

• the minimum rental is four weeks unless the owner has a short term stay available
• a $520 cleaning fee (three weekly cleans and a final clean) is billed at cost for each four week rental which comes with all bed linens; two bath towels, one hand towel and face cloth per person (6 sets provided); toilet paper, soap and shampoo per bathroom; starter kitchen paper towels and cloths; garbage bags. These items are cleaned/refreshed each week. All duvets, blankets and associated bedroom pillows are dry-cleaned after any pet stays.
• hot tub cleaning fees are billed at cost totaling $140 depending on usage and drain and fill requirements
• patio furniture, bench and fountain cleaning fees (4 visits) billed at cost of $155
• metered gas, electricity and water are billed at cost which vary from month to month depending on your usage and weather. Charges average $250/mth in the summer; $450/mth in the winter. Garbage, cable and Internet charges are also billed at cost.
• rental rates include a weekly gardening service and large stack of firewood (approximately 50 pieces of wood) per month's rental
• a refundable security deposit is $1,500; $2,500 with dog; charged 10 days prior to Rental Date
• check in is from 4:00pm; check out is by 10:00am

Payment Payment is accepted via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and personal/company check.

Rental Paperwork
A signed rental agreement and a 50% payment is required before your rental reservation is accepted. The final 50% payment is due 90 days prior to the rental date.

Cancellation & Refunds
If cancellation is unavoidable, we will try to rerent the property. If we are successful, a refund for the rerented property at the new rented rates (less any commissions, discounts or other promotional pricing), less a $250 processing fee, will be made. Refunds will be made by credit card or check depending on the rental payment(s).

Security Deposit & Damages
The security deposit is $1,500 and will be charged to your credit card 10 days prior to your rental date. Any damage to the property, furnishings, and household items other than normal wear and tear, and/or any excessive cleaning required, is the responsibility of the Guest. Assessment of any such damages/cleaning is by Carmel-by-the-Sea Rentals.

Telephone & Internet Access
Local calls are free, but all long distance calls must be charged to a telephone calling card. Cell access is OK. Wireless broadband is available for all PCs and Macs.

Smoking Is Not Permitted
Sorry, no exceptions.

Pet Policy
Dogs may be allowed with a $100 increased cleaning fee (billed at cost as required) and an additional $1,000 refundable security deposit. Please inquire during your rental request. At no time may cats (or kittens) be brought onto the property.

Travel Insurance
The Guest may want to buy travel insurance through a third party of their choice.
