Costarino Hotel Price Comparison

So why stay at Costarino, a vacation home rental, rather than a Carmel hotel? Suppose:

  • your six guests require accommodation in Carmel-by-the-Sea within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants, galleries and Carmel's white sand beach
  • you would like to bring your dog with you to the beach, the bank and the best eateries
  • you prefer quality furnishings and the good things in life
  • you wish to relax with your friends and family in sunlit gardens with waterfalls and sculptures while relaxing in luxury under the stars in a soothing heated spa
  • if friends visit may they park outside your accommodation without having a 90 minute parking limit

Price Comparison
Let's compare a six night stay for six guests in Carmel with a dog. My recommendation is to stay at Cypress Inn (my favorite hotel in Carmel) which is centrally located, has a great outdoor patio, bar and a fireplace lounge.

  • three (3) deluxe queen rooms at $295/room for four guests, one (10) deluxe king at $375 double occupancy and one dog ($30/night charge) for six nights plus 10% hotel tax
  • total cost is $8,514

A four week stay at Costarino for the same six guests and a dog costs $7,500 during peak summer months plus estimated gas and electricity utility charges of $200, weekly house and hot tub cleanings of $570 (all billed at cost).

Total cost is $8,270. So for less money, you can stay over three weeks longer.
Costarino has an effective daily rate of only $295/night for up to 6 guests and a dog.
